Speed Link Trapeze Kit

The nVent CADDY Speed Link Trapeze Kit (TSR1220SLS3) is an innovative solution for light- and medium-duty, strut-based installations. The TSR1220SLS3 combines the time-saving benefits of the Telescoping Strut Replacement (TSR1220N) with the Speed Link SLS3 locking device.

Together, these two components save installers time because they eliminate time-consuming steps required for assembly and installation of a traditional strut trapeze. These tasks include:

PoE 101: An Introduction to Power over Ethernet

Posted by CADDY on Mar 28, 2018 8:03:00 AM

What is Power over Ethernet (PoE)?

Power over Ethernet is a technology designed to safely deliver both electrical power and data to remote devices. It uses standard Ceategory 5/6/6A UTP cable in an Eethernet network. Power and data co-exist on copper conductors and do not affect each other* (BICSI, Ty Estes, 2015).

Five Benefits of Using Non-Continuous Supports over Traditional Wire Basket Tray

Posted by Ward Judson on Feb 28, 2018 7:30:00 AM

Non-Continuous Supports vs. Traditional Wire Basket Tray

When it comes to supporting data cable pathways, contractors must consider whether using a non-continuous support system is better than traditional wire basket trays. Although wire basket trays have been a more common means to support cables, another solution should be considered. An economical alternative to trays, non-continuous supports help maintain performance while providing built-in capacity limits and separation between bundles.

What to Know About the ANSI/TIA 568 Standard

Posted by CADDY on Jan 24, 2018 8:02:00 AM

What is the ANSI/TIA-568 Standard Series?

ANSI/TIA 568.0-D for Generic Telecommunications Cabling requires a minimum bend radius of four times the cable diameter for four-pair balanced twisted-pair cable during and after installation. For a typical CAT 6A cable (about ¼” diameter), the bend radius for cable supports such as a J-Hook needs to be at least 1 inch. This standard is meant to ensure quality performance and connectivity, support technological innovation, and provide superior, globally accepted products.
